Posting Instructions for Top 10’s

Every day you shoot pick your 10 and post them. Here’s how.

Pick Your 10

Select 10 frames from the day. You can do this in your Finder or File Explorer, but I recommend doing this in Lightroom Classic. (See the Lightroom Mini Course for more info on how).

Run Your 10 Through the Stamp

  • Open the Pre-Post Size & Stamp tool.
  • Drop your 10 images in.
  • Reorder them to your heart’s content (optional)
  • Click Download All
  • A Zip will download to your computer.
  • Unzip the file.
  • Now you have 10 stamped images ready to post!

Prepare Your Top 10’s Post

Put the DATE in your Post’s Title

  • In the Title for your post, write the Date you shot the images on.

Examples:

July 27 July 27th 7/27 27-07 7.27.26

The Date helps the Accountability Bot keep track of your streak.

If you don’t put the date in the post, it will comment on your post asking you to add it.

Add the DAY to the Post Title (optional)

  • Which day of the program is it for you?
    • Day 1?
    • Day 30?
  • Writing it in the Title can help you keep track.

Example:

Day 1: July 27th

Add your 10 Stamped Images to the Post

  • Create one post per day with all ten photos. Not ten separate posts.

Publish!

  • Once you’re all done, just hit Publish!

Comment on Your Fellow Student’s Posts

  • Go see what your colleagues are sharing. Give them some feedback!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my name need to be in the Title?

No, your name is not required to be in the title. The only thing required in the title is the Date you shot the photos on.

What if I’m posting late? Will it mess up my streak?

You can post images late. Just make sure that the title of the post reflects the date you shot the photos on. The Accountability Bot will adjust your streak on the next morning cycle.

How does the Streak work?

The Accountability Bot checks the Top 10’s space every morning to see who has posted and who hasn’t. This is what it looks for

  • One post credited to a day means that day counts.
  • Days are counted in Pacific Time. If you are overseas, your “today” can land on our yesterday. Putting the date in the title fixes anything that looks off.
  • Two posts in one day still count as one day unless they have different dates.
  • A date more than a day ahead gets ignored because it will be read as a typo.
